Job summary

FERROTEC MANUFACTURING MALAYSIA SDN. BHD. is seeking a Material Planner to coordinate supply of raw materials, components, and supplies for production while optimizing inventory levels.

You will forecast material requirements using MRP, work with suppliers to ensure on-time delivery, support production schedules, and drive continuous improvement through lean practices. Strong data analysis and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in supply chain, logistics, business, engineering, or related field.
• 3–5 years of material planning, procurement, or supply chain experience in manufacturing.
• Proficiency in MRP/ERP systems (SAP, Oracle) and Excel for data analysis.
• Strong data analysis, forecasting, and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication with suppliers and internal teams.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate supply of raw materials, components, and supplies.
• Maintain optimal inventory levels and timely replenishment.
• Use MRP systems to forecast material requirements.
• Collaborate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery and negotiate lead times.
• Support production schedules and adjust plans as needed.
• Work with procurement to manage material costs and terms.
• Analyze material usage and report shortages or overstock.
• Implement lean practices to reduce waste and improve material flow.
• Track inventory accuracy and minimize stock discrepancies.
