Job summary

SD Guthrie International in Malaysia seeks an experienced Legal Business Partner to provide end-to-end legal support for Industrial Parks, Renewables and Projects, covering contract drafting, risk assessment and governance. You will collaborate with senior leaders, manage disputes, advise on EPC/EPCC contracting and frameworks, and develop standard templates while staying compliant with Malaysian law.

The role requires 6–8 years of post-qualification experience and a strong ability to balance

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Law (LL.B) or equivalent recognised qualification.
Admitted as Advocate and Solicitor of the High Court of Malaya with practising background in Malaysia.
Experience in construction, engineering, infrastructure or related commercial matters.
Experience with EPC/EPCC and major project contracting structures desirable.
In-house or corporate legal experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Advise on day-to-day legal matters for Industrial Park, Renewables & Projects.
Draft, review and negotiate construction and project contracts (EPC/EPCC).
Provide strategic legal guidance across project development and commercial advisory.
Manage disputes, claims, adjudication, arbitration and litigation as required.
Support external counsel and governance on legal risk.
