Job summary

Maybank is seeking a seasoned executive to lead the regional deposit strategy for Commercial Banking. You will guide CASA growth across the portfolio and shape regional growth initiatives.

You will mentor Relationship Managers, drive NTB/NCB acquisition, and ensure liquidity management with disciplined pricing. Collaborate across branches, product teams, risk, and compliance to deliver seamless banking solutions and sustainable revenue.

Qualifications

• Extensive leadership experience in Commercial Banking or related areas.
• Proven track record in deposit acquisition and balance sheet growth.
• Strong ability to drive NTB/NCB growth and cross-sell across ecosystems.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Solid understanding of liquidity, pricing discipline, and risk/regulatory controls.

Responsibilities

• Lead regional Commercial Banking deposit business across Conventional and Islamic Banking.
• Develop regional sales strategies, market penetration, and customer acquisition initiatives.
• Grow CASA balances and manage liquidity and deposit pricing discipline.
• Drive adoption of cash management, digital banking, remittances, and related services.
• Mentor and empower a team of Relationship Managers to build pipelines and revenue.
• Increase share of wallet through cross-selling across financing, wealth, cards, and treasury.
• Oversee onboarding, service delivery, and issue resolution for deposit and payment solutions.
• Collaborate with branches, product, operations, risk, and compliance to ensure governance.
