Job summary

Maybank is seeking a strategic Head, Deposit, Commercial Banking to lead regional deposit strategies and drive CASA growth for the Commercial Banking portfolio. You will guide a high-performing team, shape regional growth, and deliver sustainable results while strengthening Maybank’s position with commercial clients.

You will oversee onboarding, pricing discipline, and cross-selling across the bank’s ecosystem, ensuring exemplary client experience and governance in a dynamic market.

Qualifications

• Extensive leadership experience in Commercial Banking, SME Banking, Corporate Banking, Transaction Banking, or Liability Management.
• Proven ability to lead high-performing sales teams and drive deposit mobilization and portfolio growth.
• Strong commercial acumen with capacity to craft strategies delivering sustainable growth.
• Deep understanding of payments, cash management, remittances, FX, and digital banking platforms.

Responsibilities

• Lead and drive regional Commercial Banking deposit business across Conventional and Islamic Banking, acquiring NTB/NCB customers.
• Develop and execute regional sales strategies and market penetration plans to achieve deposit growth targets.
• Champion CASA growth with both MYR and FCY accounts while managing liquidity and pricing discipline.
• Drive adoption of Cash Management Solutions, M2E Digital Banking, payroll services, remittances, and trade accounts.
• Lead, coach, and inspire a team of Relationship Managers to build pipelines and client relationships.
• Expand wallet share through cross-selling across the Bank's ecosystem including financing, wealth, cards, and treasury products.
• Oversee onboarding, implementation, service delivery, and issue resolution for deposit and remittance solutions.
• Collaborate with branches, product teams, operations, risk, and compliance to ensure governance and regulatory compliance.
