Job summary

Agensi Pekerjaan Penta Consultancy Sdn. Bhd is seeking a capable IT Business Analyst to analyze and map business processes, gather requirements, and translate them into actionable user stories and specifications.

The role collaborates with stakeholders and cross-functional teams to ensure quality readiness for releases and aligns IT solutions with business objectives. You will contribute to sprint planning, maintain a refined backlog, and drive continuous improvement while supporting SLA-driven

Qualifications

Minimum 3 years of IT Business Analysis or delivering IT applications.
Proven experience in requirements gathering, user story creation, and business process analysis.
Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and experience working in sprint-based environments.
Ability to define acceptance criteria and ensure quality deliverables.
Experience in stakeholder management, including influencing and communicating across different levels.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
Experience in the Insurance industry is highly preferred.
Experience in project management or leading initiatives is an added advantage.

Responsibilities

Analyze and understand business processes; identify, define, and map requirements.
Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and document requirements via interviews, workshops, and research.
Translate needs into clear user stories, use cases, and functional specifications for development teams.
Define and develop acceptance criteria to ensure quality and readiness of releases.
Work with project teams to plan, develop, and refine features for upcoming sprints and releases.
Ensure all user stories meet the Definition of Ready before development begins.
Maintain a prioritized product backlog of features and user stories.
Identify opportunities for process improvements and recommend IT solutions.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Product, Development, and QA to ensure delivery.
Manage stakeholder expectations and align IT solutions with business objectives.
Support delivery and maintenance per SLA and IT SDLC processes.
Assist in resolving complex issues and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
