Job summary

Mondelēz International Malaysia seeks an experienced Indirect Procurement leader to manage end-to-end indirect spend, optimize costs, and ensure policy compliance. You will partner with cross-functional stakeholders to shape the indirect portfolio and develop robust local sourcing strategies for a multinational FMCG environment.

The role emphasizes governance, supplier relationships, risk management, and the deployment of digital procurement tools, with a focus on delivering year-over-year value

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain, finance or related field; MBA or postgraduate qualification is a plus.
• Minimum 7 years of indirect procurement experience in FMCG, manufacturing, or multinational settings.
• Strong knowledge of Malaysia supplier market and local practices.
• Proven track record of delivering cost savings and value creation.
• Experience managing multiple indirect categories with negotiation and analytics skills.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication abilities.
• Proficiency in procurement systems (e.g., SAP, Coupa, Sievo).

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end indirect spend categories and drive cost optimization.
• Partner with internal functions to align procurement solutions with business needs.
• Lead sourcing events and negotiate with suppliers per policy.
• Provide regular reporting on savings, performance, and pipeline.
• Develop local sourcing strategies and supply sources with cross-functional teams.
• Govern supplier relationships, risk management, and compliance with ethics standards.
• Coach and develop the Indirect Procurement team and promote continuous improvement.
