Job summary

Valiram in Kuala Lumpur is seeking a Finance FP&A Analyst to deliver monthly performance analysis, monitor P&L, margins and operating expenses, and provide insights to business units.

You will coordinate budgeting and forecasting, reconcile figures, support senior management with ad-hoc analyses, and partner with business leaders to drive financial governance.

Applicants should be detail-oriented, proficient in financial modelling, and able to communicate with stakeholders across functions.

Responsibilities

• A. Monthly Reporting & Performance Analysis: Analyse P&L performance against budget, forecast and prior year, identify variances and provide insights.
• Monitor KPIs including sales, margin and operating expenses and escalate deviations to stakeholders.
• Prepare and post month-end journal entries and adjustments for accurate results.
• Reconcile monthly P&L with Accounts submissions and investigate discrepancies.
• Prepare and distribute timely management reports within deadlines.
• B. Budgeting & Forecasting: Coordinate annual budget and quarterly forecast processes for Business Units.
• Partner with Business Leaders to align plans, assumptions and targets.
• Review budget submissions for accuracy and reasonableness.
• Analyse forecast performance versus budget and prior forecasts, identify trends.
• C. Business Partnering & Other Responsibilities: Provide financial guidance with governance and controls.
• Handle ad-hoc requests from Senior Management.
• Support other planning activities and projects as required.
