Job summary

Applus Malaysia Sdn Bhd is seeking a Finance Manager to lead the organisation's financial operations, accounting functions, statutory compliance, taxation, treasury, budgeting, reporting and governance. The role partners with management to support growth, profitability, risk management and operational excellence.

The ideal candidate will have extensive finance leadership experience, strong IFRS/MFRS knowledge, and the ability to deliver insightful commercial analyses to drive decisions.

Qualifications

• Degree or higher in accounting/finance with professional qualification preferred.
• 15+ years of progressive finance leadership or management experience.
• 7+ years in Oil & Gas, Mining, Energy, Engineering Services, or related sectors.

Responsibilities

• Lead the finance and accounting operations end-to-end.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements.
• Ensure IFRS/MFRS compliance and statutory requirements.
• Oversee tax compliance, transfer pricing, and regulatory management.
• Manage budgeting, forecasting, and management reporting for country and regional leadership.
• Drive cost optimisation and capital management; monitor cash flow and liquidity.
• Support tendering, pricing strategy, and contract reviews for business development.
• Develop and mentor Finance team; coordinate internal/external audits.
