Job summary

Jabil Sdn Bhd (Global Business Center) in Penang, Malaysia, is seeking a cost accounting professional to maintain and analyze the cost accounting system, working independently with supervision from management.

You will review general ledger balances, prepare monthly cost accruals and forecasts, generate reports and communicate with functional areas, and support payroll cost analysis and general business condition reviews. Compliance with safety and company policies is required.

Qualifications

• Experience in cost accounting and financial reporting.
• Ability to review ledger balances and prepare reconciliations.
• Strong Excel skills and data analysis capability.
• Experience with ERP systems and financial software.

Responsibilities

• Review and analyze general ledger account balances.
• Verify accuracy and recommend corrections.
• Prepare monthly cost accruals, reconciliations and balance sheets.
• Prepare, analyze and present financial data methods.
• Prepare timely reports and communicate with functions.
• Forecasts and analyze payroll costs and benefits.
• Train other employees within and outside the department.
• Maintain and analyze the company’s cost accounting system.
• Review and analyze information for financial statements and tax preparation.
• Support other Finance areas as needed.
• Adhere to safety rules and security procedures.
