Job summary

Jabil Malaysia is seeking a skilled Global Commodity Manager to develop and implement strategies supporting our global supply chain and business units. The role focuses on commodity strategy, supply base development, price management, and ensuring alignment with CSR standards while driving continuous improvement in procurement and cost performance.

Qualifications

• In-depth knowledge of assigned commodity(s) both technical and commercial.
• Contract management and negotiations (Purchase agreements, inventory initiatives, etc.).
• Basic finance (understand and evaluate balance sheet, income statement and cash flow).
• Understanding of MRP and supply chain basics.
• Knowledge of supply base management for assigned commodities.
• Ability to model costs to determine true component value.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement and measure a Global Commodity Strategy and business plan.
• Demonstrate expertise in assigned commodities and be fully competent in supply chain management.
• Adhere to global infrastructure supporting Jabil’s growth and strategy.
• Develop the supply base to meet goals and CSR standards (environmental, ethical, regulatory).
• Negotiate supplier contracts and optimize total cost of ownership.
• Analyze market conditions and implement supply chain strategies for price and supply security.
