Job summary

bp in Malaysia is seeking a seasoned Procurement professional to lead category strategies and sourcing for IT/Software and related services. The role coordinates between Procurement and PSCM, mentors teams, and negotiates contracts with key suppliers to meet project milestones and targets.

You will manage complex sourcing projects, develop value levers, and ensure compliant, transparent supplier interactions, while maintaining BP’s HSSE standards and conduct requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in any discipline or related field.
• Fluent in English; other languages based on BP location(s) supported.
• Understanding of end-to-end Procurement process; strong supplier market knowledge.
• Excellent influencing and negotiation skills; ability to manage stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Act as the Category expert and focal point for Procurement, PSCM and Business stakeholders.
• Lead information flow on category strategy and guidance between Procurement and PSCM.
• Provide category guidance and mentoring to Procurement teams.
• Drive and manage complex sourcing and contracting projects; ensure business requirements are covered.
