Job summary

Infineon Technologies Malaysia is seeking a Strategic Project Leader for Backend Development to plan, organize, and direct high-impact initiatives. The role requires steering complex project teams, managing lifecycle stages, and ensuring timely releases within budget and quality targets.

You will interface with multiple Infineon divisions, drive process improvements, and mentor project teams while applying IFX tools and proven problem-solving methods like 8D and 5 Whys.

Qualifications

• Master's or Bachelor's degree in Engineering (semiconductor tech, microelectronics, automation, electrical, CS).
• IPMA Level C certification is mandatory.
• 8 years in semiconductor manufacturing with exposure to digitalization or packaging ops, 5 years leading projects and mentoring; Scrum Master is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of project initiation, planning, closing, reporting and documentation.
• Understanding of legal topics and financial aspects in projects.
• Ability to orchestrate inter-dependent development topics.

Responsibilities

• Manages projects with significant complexity, risk, reach and noticeable impact for parts of the company.
• Manages diverse project teams across functions and a complex project structure.
• Controls the entire project life-cycle and ensures hand-over to sustaining function.
• Organizes activities and resources for timely milestone releases.
• Fully responsible for operational decisions to achieve targets (time, quality, cost, budget).
• Represents Back End to Infineon divisions as the key communication interface.
• Forms and leads the project team; assigns responsibilities to PMs of sub-projects.
• Uses IFX project management tools for structuring, progress control, and reporting.
• Drives problem solving with 8D, 5 Whys methodologies.
