Job Overview:
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Store Manager to oversee the daily operations of our store and ensure efficient inventory and material management. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in stock control, material handling, and coordination with project and procurement teams.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Inventory Management
Receive, inspect, and store incoming goods and materials.
Maintain accurate stock records and perform regular inventory checks.
Issue materials based on departmental needs.
2. Stock Control
Monitor stock levels to prevent shortages or overstocking.
Label and organize materials for easy identification.
Ensure proper storage conditions and recommend replenishments.
3. Material Transfers
Manage and document material transfers between store locations or sites.
Ensure materials are safely transported and tracked accurately.
4. Receiving & Inspection
Verify deliveries against purchase orders and delivery notes.
Record damages, shortages, or discrepancies.
Notify departments of any incorrect or defective items.
Maintain clear records of receipts, issues, and returns.
Prepare stock-in and stock-out reports.
Generate reports for audits and management review.
Keep storage areas clean and hazard-free.
Follow safety protocols to avoid loss or damage.
Secure inventory and monitor storage safety.
7. Coordination & Communication
Work closely with procurement, finance, and site teams.
Provide updates on inventory status and availability.
Assist in inventory forecasting and planning.
Requirements:
Minimum 3–5 years of working experience in storekeeping, inventory, or warehouse management.
Proven experience in storekeeping or inventory management, preferably in the construction or engineering industry.
Able to read and write, and know how to use a computer.
Willing to work at Balakong, Selangor.
Willing to travel across Peninsular Malaysia when required.
Having a GDL license is an added advantage.
Experience in storekeeping or inventory management is preferred.
Organized, responsible, and good in coordination.
