A leading retail establishment in Malaysia seeks a Store General Manager responsible for overseeing store operations and ensuring a quality customer experience. The successful candidate will collaborate with marketing, manage inventory, and develop staff while maintaining exceptional performance metrics. Experience in retail management and a degree in Business Administration are essential. Opportunity for growth in a dynamic environment.
As a Store General Manager, you will be trained and developed to be a qualify store manager through working together with the experience store manager in following areas,
Plan and implement the overall store strategy
Collaborate with the marketing team to develop a marketing store strategy
Work with store security guard to investigate any suspicious activity
Recruit, train and managing the new store employees
Train and evaluate store employees, provide periodically feedback to each staffs about their performance.
Create a healthy and enjoyable store work environment
Responding to customer complaints and concerns in a professional manner.
Developing and arranging promotional material and in-store displays.
Determine and set basic store KPIs, track and report the KPIs on constant basic
Train store employees on corporate policies, procedures and working culture
Manage and keep track of inventory losses and/or shrinkage, take the necessary action to reduce the losses
Suggest new operational strategies to improve store's performance and productivity
Develop relationships with key suppliers and vendors
Perform the regular sales analysis (P&L) to evaluate promotion and sales strategy effectiveness and identify business opportunities as well as conduct business reviews to customers
Candidate Requirements:
Able to work at HomePro stores across Malaysia (KL, Melaka, Perak, Penang and Johor)
Preferably a mandarin speaker to effectively communicate with Mandarin-speaking clients(basic to intermediate).
Reliability and dependability are key traits
Ability to execute the routine administrative work and business analysis
Ability to supervise and train employees, to include organizing, prioritizing, and scheduling work assignments.
Strong work ethic and a desire to improve and succeed
Good knowledge of sales and marketing
Excellent leadership skills and team player
Sense of ownership and pride in your performance and its impact on company’s success
Critical thinker and problem-solving skills
Good time-management skills, discipline and consistent
Great interpersonal and communication skills to all level staff and customer
Degree in Business Administration or relevant fields.
Able to work during weekend, public holiday and long hour
