Job summary

Ambu is seeking a Warehouse Assistant in Penang to support Storekeepers and the Store Supervisor with warehouse and shipping tasks, including receiving, issuing and shipping of goods as directed. You will help maintain FIFO, label stock and ensure proper segregation.

The role requires English communication, basic computer skills and the ability to operate MHE such as forklifts and reach trucks, with shifts and overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum SPM and computer literate.
• Able to speak and write in English and possess strong mathematical skills.
• Possess a valid driving license and able to operate forklifts and reach trucks.
• Able to work on shifts and overtime.
• Minimum 2 years of warehousing experience in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist Storekeepers and Store Supervisor with warehouse and shipping tasks: receiving, issuing, and shipping as instructed.
• Ensure FIFO and stock identification and segregation are maintained at all times.
• Load and/or unload goods from trucks and containers.
• Data entry updates for stock movements in M3 and label printing systems.
• Conduct daily cycle counts of materials and finished goods.
• Operate and maintain MHEs such as pallet trucks, forklifts and reach trucks.
• Attend training and participate in Emergency Response Team activities.
• Maintain 5S and housekeeping in work areas.
• Undertake other tasks as assigned by superiors.

Job description

• To ensure FIFO and stock identification and segregation is practiced at all times
• To load and/or unload goods from trucks and containers
• Data entry updates for stock movements in the M3 and label printing computer systems
• To conduct daily cycle counts of materials and finished goods
• To use and maintain MHEs such as pallet trucks, forklifts and reach trucks
• To attend training and participate in Emergency Response Team activities
• To maintain housekeeping and 5S in work areas
• Any other tasks as assigned by superiors

Requirements:

• Minimum SPM, computer literate and with some experience in material handling software
• Able to speak and write in English and with strong mathematical skills
• Possess a valid driving license and able to drive forklifts and reach trucks
• Able to work on shifts and overtime
• Minimum 2 years of warehousing experience in a manufacturing environment
• Able to carry loads up to 25kg
• Previous training in material handling equipment (MHEs) an added advantage
