Join Our Team as a Steward

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Steward to support our culinary team by maintaining high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and kitchen organization. As a Steward, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth and safe operation of our kitchen, creating a clean and efficient environment for our chefs.

Responsibilities

1. Ensure all kitchen equipment is clean, safe, and operational by regularly checking and reporting issues.
2. Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen, food prep areas, storage rooms, and dishwashing stations.
3. Collaborate with the culinary team to uphold hygiene and cleanliness standards at all times.
4. Follow hygiene protocols, including kitchen hygiene and personal grooming standards.
5. Assist in setting up and cleaning food stations before and after service.
6. Adhere to operational safety standards and occupational health guidelines.
7. Work with senior kitchen staff to meet cleanliness and operational requirements.
8. Handle and store cleaning chemicals safely, understanding basic safety procedures.
9. Contribute to maintaining a safe working environment to prevent accidents.
10. Perform any other duties as assigned by supervisors.

Qualifications

• Experience in stewarding or kitchen support is preferred but not required.
• Strong responsibility and attention to detail.
• Knowledge of hygiene and safety standards in kitchens.
• Basic understanding of chemical use in cleaning.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, team environment.
• Willingness to learn and contribute to a clean, organized kitchen.
