About the location:

Four Seasons Hotel and Residences is part of a 65-storey mixed-use tower that will include 242 Four Seasons Private Residences, 27 serviced apartments, a 209-key Four Seasons Hotel and a six- floor of 250,000 square foot luxury retail podium, collectively known as Four Seasons Place Kuala Lumpur. The Hotel introduces several unique dining outlets to the city, including a Cantonese restaurant, lobby and rooftop pool bars, and an all-day dining restaurant with sweeping views of the Petronas Twin Towers. The Hotel will also offer an executive lounge for business travelers, a serene spa, wellness-focused fitness centre and rooftop infinity pool offering panoramic views of Kuala Lumpur’s endless skyline. Four Seasons Hotel and Residences is located in the Golden Triangle neighborhood, Kuala Lumpur’s thriving business and financial district. The Hotel is part of a 65-storey mixed-use tower that will include 242 Four Seasons Private Residences, 27 serviced apartments, a 209-key Four Seasons Hotel and a six- floor of 250,000 square foot luxury retail podium, collectively known as Four Seasons Place Kuala Lumpur.

The latest addition to the city’s dramatic skyline and a vibrant hub for both business and leisure travelers, Four Seasons Hotel Kuala Lumpur will be conveniently located in close proximity to the city’s major attractions, including the Petronas Twin Towers and the Kuala Lumpur City Centre (KLCC). Steward

The Steward is responsible for the cleaning, maintenance, and sanitation of china, glass, silver, kitchen equipment and kitchen production areas in accordance with production requirements and quality standards while maintaining a safe work environment. The position is also responsible for equipment set up and breakdown, expediting of food for banquet functions, platting and assisting the kitchen services.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain complete knowledge of and comply with all departmental policies/service procedures/standards.

  • Maintain complete knowledge of correct maintenance and use of equipment. Use equipment only as intended.

  • Anticipate guests’ needs, respond promptly and acknowledge all guests, however busy and whatever time of day.

  • Monitor and maintain cleanliness, sanitation and organization of assigned work areas.

  • Work in Conjunction with the Hygiene Manager ensuring goal are achieved.

  • Maintain complete knowledge of: Anticipated business levels in each outlet per meal period, daily house count, scheduled in-house group activities, locations and times, and correct chemical handling procedures.

  • Meet with Assistant Chief Steward and Supervisors to review the kitchen needs daily.

  • Accommodate requests for additional wares expediently and courteously.

  • Complete requisitions to replenish shortages or additional items needed for the anticipated business.

  • Establish and monitor compliance with recycling/conservation specifications.

  • Follows safety practices.

  • Ensure all assigned closing duties are completed before staff sign out.

  • Assist with scheduled inventories.

  • Attend monthly departmental meeting and any other designated meetings.

  • Assist in Banquet plate ups.

Qualifications:

  • Possess a high level of attention to detail and a strong work ethic.

  • Must be comfortable around industrial size dish machines and have the ability to learn their operation.

  • Knowledge of pot-washing, dishwashing operation, janitorial and sanitation.

  • Entry level position – no prior experience is required essential skills will be taught of the job

  • Ability to lift up to 60lbs.

  • Able to work a flexible schedule with the ability to work all shifts, weekends and holidays as per business demands and needs.

  • Must be able to speak, read, and write Bahasa Malaysia and English.

  • Must have the right to work in Malaysia.
