SUMMARY OF DUTIES
The Enrolled Nurse would be responsible for the preparation of all radiological interventional trolleys, observation and nursing care to patient in the department and assist radiographers and radiologist in certain X-ray procedures.
MAIN DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
- To prepare, observe and assist radiologist in interventional procedures.
- To help implement the policies and procedures for the department in liaison with the management.
- To help train radiographers and other staff to familiar with the Emergency trolley and code blue procedures and other interventional procedures.
- To check Emergency Trolley according to check list daily. To appoint one staff to assist do daily checking and calibration of the trolley when not in the department.
- To help Chief radiographer check stock level and indent stock whenever stock is not adequate.
- To ensure highest patient care is rendered at all times.
- To report any problems arises to the Chief radiographer or senior radiographer.
- Explain and observe patient before and after radiological investigations or procedures.
- Keeping and maintaining inventory stock of radiological items and disposable items.
- Prepare nursing procedures/trolleys for certain X-ray procedures.
- Clean and maintain items and send to CSSD.
- Supervise other staff for hygienic control.
- To check and maintain nursing equipment available in the department.
- To report any defective nursing equipment to senior or Chief radiographer for action.
- To do other duties as ordered by the HOD.
- To carried out duties as an employee as stipulated in Occupational Safety and Health Act and Regulations 1994:
- To take reasonable care at work for the safety of yourself and other persons;
- To co-operate with your employer or any other person in the discharge of any duty;
- To wear or use any protective equipment or clothing provided by the employer;
- To comply with any instruction or measure on occupational safety and health.
- Participate actively in any other new service that is introduced by the department. Ensure all policies and procedures of ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015, ISO 45001:2018, HACCP, MSQH Accreditation Standards, Joint Commission International Accreditation and NPSG.
- Ensure to actively participate in all 5S activities.
- Ensure the policies on patients and family’s right are addressed at all times.
- Ensure compliance to Patient safety goals as safety improvement measures recommended by World Alliance for Patient safety (2008).
- Ensure adhere to Standard People Practice (SPP).
- Work collaboratively with leaders, clinicians, staff, visitors and patients in the development and promotion of behaviors, environment and patient care solutions.
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED
Sijil Penolong Jururawat Malaysia. EXPERIENCED REQUIRED: 1 YEAR Experienced in Radiology Nursing.
