Job summary

Jora Malaysia is offering a 6-month Stainless Steel Welding Intern position to train in fabricating stainless steel commercial kitchen equipment such as worktables, sinks, cabinets and exhaust hoods.

The role involves welding, cutting, grinding, bending, polishing and supporting experienced welders while learning to read technical drawings and prepare materials with safety at the forefront.

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of welding or metal fabrication is preferred.
• Willing to learn and perform hands-on workshop duties.

Responsibilities

• Assist with stainless steel welding, cutting, grinding, bending and polishing.
• Support experienced welders in fabricating stainless steel commercial kitchen equipment.
• Read and follow basic technical drawings, measurements and work instructions.
• Prepare the materials, tools and equipment required for fabrication work.
• Check product measurements, workmanship and finishing quality.
• Assist with product assembly and on-site installation when required.
• Maintain a clean, organised and safe workshop environment.
• Follow all workplace safety procedures and supervisors’ instructions.

Stainless Steel Welding Intern (6-months internship)

We are looking for a motivated Stainless Steel Welding Intern to join our fabrication team. The successful candidate will receive hands‑on training in fabricating stainless steel commercial kitchen equipment, including worktables, sinks, cabinets, shelving, exhaust hoods and other customised products.

Responsibilities

• Assist with stainless steel welding, cutting, grinding, bending and polishing.
• Support experienced welders in fabricating commercial kitchen equipment.
• Read and follow basic technical drawings, measurements and work instructions.
• Prepare the materials, tools and equipment required for fabrication work.
• Check product measurements, workmanship and finishing quality.
• Assist with product assembly and on‑site installation when required.
• Maintain a clean, organised and safe workshop environment.
• Follow all workplace safety procedures and supervisors’ instructions.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a Certificate, SKM, Diploma or technical course in Welding, Metal Fabrication, Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Basic knowledge of welding or metal fabrication is preferred.
• Experience in TIG, MIG or laser welding is an advantage, but training will be provided.
• Willing to learn and perform hands‑on workshop duties.
• Responsible, punctual and able to work effectively in a team.
• Physically fit and able to handle workshop tools and materials.
