Staff Specialist Environment, Safety & Health

Support the implementation of Occupational Health and Safety policies and programs.

Job Description

In your new role you will:

• Support Safety & Health standard and procedures development. Able to coordinate the ESH standard committee review prior release for approval process. Act as document controller for ESH SEB.
• Coordinate policies and processes to comply to legal requirements and regulations, corporate and internal procedures.
• Maintain and sustain the implementation of Safety and Health Management System.
• Monitor improvement programs and activities related to the OSH MS requirements.
• Coordinate the ESH Key Performance Indicator (KPI) and responsible for the ESH reporting (Management & local authorities).
• Support the implementation of emergency response and business continuity planning.
• Advise plant management and persons on site on occupational safety and health, and accident prevention.
• Liaise with authorities and corporate colleagues towards ESH compliance.
• Support the Contractor ESH Management program, promote safety and health awareness through induction, training and campaign.
• Develop Training materials for Infineon ESH standard & procedures to convey the message to all parties.
  
  

Your Profile

You are best equipped for this task if you have:

• Degree / Masters in Safety and Health, Science or Engineering.
• Minimum 7 years experience in Occupational Health and Safety.
• Possess interpersonal skill and ability to persuade others in order to drive policies and procedures.
• Knowledgeable in the health and safety hazards identification, assessment, controls and prevention.
• Certified Safety Health Officer (SHO).
• Knowledgeable in Emergency Response Team and BCP Team.
• Possess good judgement to determine reaction and response, thus able to advise management to make sound safety and health decisions.
• Well experienced with ESH standards and able to develop related documents.
• Well versed with applicable acts & its regulations such as Factories & Machinery Act 1967, Occupational Safety & Health Act 1994, Corporate policies and process descriptions.
• Possess excellent written and verbal communication skill. Able to provide ESH communication material and communicate clearly to relay such information.
