Staff Nurse - Palliative care

About the role

Sunway Medical Centre Sdn Bhd is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Staff Nurse to join our Palliative Care team in our Bandar Sunway Selangor location. This full-time role is an excellent opportunity for experienced nurses to make a meaningful impact on the lives of our patients and their families during a critical time.

What you'll be doing

1. Providing high-quality nursing care to palliative patients, focusing on pain management, symptom control, and emotional support
2. Collaborating with the multidisciplinary care team to develop and implement individualised care plans
3. Administering medications, monitoring patients' conditions, and documenting care provided
4. Communicating regularly with patients, families, and caregivers to address concerns and provide updates
5. Participating in the ongoing evaluation and improvement of palliative care services
6. Maintaining a safe and hygienic patient care environment

What we're looking for

1. Registered Nurse with a valid practicing certificate
2. Minimum 2 years of experience in a palliative care or similar setting
3. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to provide empathetic patient-centred care
4. Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
5. Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills
6. Commitment to continuous learning and professional development
