Overview

As a Staff Nurse (Oncology), you will provide high-quality nursing care to oncology patients in support of doctors and hospital policies. You will ensure patient safety, deliver compassionate care, and support the teaching and supervision of junior nurses and students.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct admission interviews, assessments, and patient orientation.
  • Provide safe, accurate, and timely nursing care from admission to discharge.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, ensuring proper documentation.
  • Monitor patients’ conditions and report any abnormalities promptly.
  • Assist doctors during procedures, treatments, and examinations.
  • Maintain infection control and aseptic techniques.
  • Educate patients and families about care plans and procedures.
  • Ensure equipment, crash carts, and supplies are in working condition.
  • Participate in unit meetings, quality improvement, and CPD programs.
  • Promote teamwork and mentor junior staff and student nurses.
Requirements
  • Diploma in Nursing with 4 years’ experience OR Degree in Nursing with 2–4 years’ experience.
  • Valid Annual Practicing Certificate (APC) and BLS certification.
  • Proficient in English and Bahasa Melayu, with strong communication skills.
  • Honest, pleasant personality, and committed to patient care.
