Staff Nurse - Accident & Emergency

About the role

Sunway Medical Centre is seeking an experienced Staff Nurse to join our dynamic Accident & Emergency team. As a full-time staff nurse, you will be responsible for providing compassionate and high-quality nursing care to a diverse range of patients in a fast-paced environment. Additional advantage will be given to those with postgraduate qualifications in accident and emergency.

What you'll be doing

1. Delivering comprehensive nursing care to patients presenting with emergency medical conditions.
2. Monitoring patients' vital signs and providing appropriate treatment as per doctors' instructions.
3. Collaborating with the multidisciplinary team to ensure seamless patient care.
4. Maintaining accurate and detailed patient records.
5. Administering medications and treatments as prescribed.
6. Providing emotional support and comfort to patients and their families.
7. Adhering to hospital policies, procedures, and safety standards at all times.

What we're looking for

• Registered Nurse with a valid Practicing Certificate issued by the Malaysian Nursing Board.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in an Accident & Emergency or general medical/surgical ward setting.
• Strong clinical skills and the ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent problem-solving, critical thinking, and decision-making abilities.
• Compassionate and patient-centered approach to nursing care.
• Valid BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with patients, families, and the multidisciplinary team.
• Proficient in using medical equipment and technology.
