Job summary

Infineon Technologies AG in Malaysia is seeking a test and hardware-focused engineer to develop GaN test programs, debug hardware, and optimize test processes. You will work with design, process, reliability and manufacturing teams to boost yield and ensure test readiness for new products.

The role requires a degree in Electronic Engineering and hands-on programming in Python, C++, or MATLAB, plus strong data-analysis skills and collaborative communication.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electronic Engineering or related field.
• 0–5 years of experience in product testing, manufacturing, or related field with interest in testing, programming, and hardware design.
• Strong foundation in Python, C++, or MATLAB and experience with data analysis tools.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills in a collaborative environment.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to derive insights from data sets.

Responsibilities

• Test Program creation and Test Hardware Design for GaN products.
• Program and Hardware Debugging to ensure test readiness and stability before production.
• Test Optimisation to reduce test time and increase parallelism.
• Interface with design, process, reliability and manufacturing to solve product issues and production problems in terms of yield, stability and quality.
• Develops and sustains process improvements to reduce production costs and increase yields.
• Provide customer return verification support including containment and preventive actions.
• Support reliability lab to enable new product testing.

Your Role

Key responsibilities in your new role

• Test Program creation & Test Hardware Design – mainly focusing on discrete GaN products.
• Program & Hardware Debugging – to ensure test readiness & stability before releasing to production.
• Test Optimisation – test time reduction, test insertion removal, higher parallelism migration.
• Interfaces with design, process, reliability and manufacturing engineering to solve product issues and production problems in terms of yield, stability and quality.
• Develops and sustains process improvements to reduce production costs and increase yields.
• Provide customer return verification support including implement containment & preventive actions.
• Support reliability lab to enable new product testing.

Your Profile

Qualifications and skills to help you succeed

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electronic Engineering or a related field.
• Min. 0‑5 years of experience in product testing, manufacturing, or a related field, with a strong interest in product testing, programming and hardware design.
• Strong foundation in programming languages, such as Python, C++, or MATLAB, and experience with data analysis tools and software.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to derive insights from complex data sets.
