Job description

We are seeking a dedicated and technically strong Product Test Engineer to support our Back End operations. In this role, you will play a crucial part in driving quality, productivity, and speed performance metrics that contribute directly to departmental and site-wide goals. You will lead the technical execution of new product introductions, ensuring readiness and smooth transition into production while maintaining Infineon’s high standards for yield, quality, and reliability.

Job Description

In your new role you will:

1. Support PTE section head in driving performance deliverables mainly Quality, Productivity, and Speed which ultimately contribute to department and Melaka site targets.
2. Provide technical leadership in line with department mission. Prioritize multiple activities ranging from daily operational support to improvement in performance using sound problem solving techniques, communication, and negotiation skills.
3. Manage assigned product performance by setting effective indicators, monitoring, and driving improvement. Conduct periodical reviews to ensure continuity of activities and achievement of short-term and long-term objectives of the sub-section.
4. Overall BE production lead for new product introduction, responsible for readiness of new product release meeting IFX standards of yield stability, quality, and reliability.
5. Coordinate and monitor safe launch activities, ensuring smooth transition and technical readiness of new product release to production.
6. Ensure quality and reliability of delivered products meeting IFX quality standards (SBA, LOH assessment, and disposition).
7. Manage and ensure technical capabilities for LOH disposition with speed and quality (fast containment and early triggering).
8. Initiate and drive BE productivity/ratio projects and quality initiatives.
9. Assist FAR data acquisition, yield analysis, and 8D execution.
10. Interface with subcontractors, FrontEnd, Cluster, Development, and Business Unit teams for new product introduction to production and test/product relevant topics.

Your Profile

You are best equipped for this task if you have:

1. Technical Degree in Electrical/Electronics/Physics/Chemistry or any other relevant engineering discipline.
2. Minimum 4 years of working experience in Semiconductor or manufacturing Industry.
3. Ability to apply knowledge in Statistical Tests (e.g., KS); Hypothesis tests; Standard error, confidence intervals; Determination of sample sizes; Correlation; Yield models; DOE.
4. Ability to explain the entire BE process functionality/baseline and relate each Assembly or Test process/machine capability and limitation corresponding to yield impact.
5. Knowledge of FE process flow, defect models, and their relation to yield.
6. Good knowledge in final test with respect to device characteristics/datasheet and validation of known failure mode hypotheses using product qualification knowledge.
7. Good interpersonal communication skills.
8. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
9. Willingness to take responsibility.
10. Good product technical knowledge and ability to guide junior engineers.
11. Leadership qualities to lead projects and achieve targets.
