We are seeking a dedicated and technically strong Product Test Engineer to support our Back End operations. In this role, you will play a crucial part in driving quality, productivity, and speed performance metrics that contribute directly to departmental and site-wide goals. You will lead the technical execution of new product introductions, ensuring readiness and smooth transition into production while maintaining Infineon’s high standards for yield, quality, and reliability.
Job Description
In your new role you will:
- Support PTE section head in driving performance deliverables mainlyQuality, Productivity and Speed which ultimately contribute todepartment and Melaka site targets.
- Provide technical leadership inline with department mission.Prioritize multiple activities ranging from daily operational support toimprovement in performance using sound problem solving techniques,communication and negotiation skills
- Manage assigned product performance by setting effective indicators,monitoring and driving improvement. Conduct periodical review to ensurecontinuity of activities, achievement of short term and long termobjectives of the sub-section.
- Overall BE production lead for new product introduction in whichactively responsible for readiness of new product release meeting IFXstandard of yield stability, quality and reliability.
- Coordinate and monitor safe launch activities, ensure smoothtransition and technical readiness of new product release to production
- Ensure quality and reliability of delivered products meeting IFXquality standard (SBA, LOH assessment and disposition)
- Manage and ensure technical capabilities for LOH disposition withspeed and quality (fast containment and early triggering)
- Initiate and drive BE productivity/ratio projects and qualityinitiatives
- Assist FAR data acquisition, yield analysis and 8D execution
- Interface to subcon, FrontEnd, Cluster, Development and Business Unitteam for new product introduction to production and test/productrelevant topics
Your ProfileYou are best equipped for this task if you have:
- Technical Degree in Electrical/Electronics/Physics/Chemistry or anyother relevant engineering discipline.
- Minimum 4 years of working experience in Semiconductor ormanufacturing Industry.
- Able to apply knowledge in Statistical Tests (e.g.KS); Hypothesistests; Standard error, confidence intervals; Determination of samplesizes; Correlation; Yield models; DOE.
- Able to explain the entire BE process functionality/baseline andrelate each Assembly or Test process/machine capability and limitationcorresponding to yield impact.
- Capable to explain basic FE process flow, defect models and itsrelation to yield.
- Posed good knowledge in final test with respect to devicecharacteristic/datasheet and validate known failure mode hypothesesusing knowledge on product qualification.
- Good interpersonal communication skills.
- Good analytical thought and problem solving knowledge.
- Willing to take responsibility.
- Possess good Product technical knowledge and able to guide juniorengineer.
- Possess leadership quality in leading project to achieve projecttarget.
