Job summary

OSRAM Opto Semiconductors (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd is seeking an experienced yield management professional to own the yield roadmap and drive improvements across FE/BE, data systems, and product performance. You will collaborate with multiple functions to ensure targets are met and costs are minimized, while interfacing with BE/BU/Customer on technical topics.

The role is based on site in Kulim, Malaysia, with an on-site work model, offering opportunities to influence manufacturing yield and supply

Responsibilities

• Own the yield roadmap with a rolling 12 months horizon and ensure FE/BE achieve targets.
• Own yield and continuously report and track progress against the roadmap with all functions.
• Define and drive yield improvements by analyzing detractors and applying root-cause analysis with process owners.
• Own systems and data for yield performance, ensuring quick issue identification and root-cause analysis.
• Own product performance/specs, testing, probing, AVI, and product master data stewardship.
• Own product cost optimization to minimize losses across the value chain.
• Interface with BE/BU/Customer on technical topics as the first point of contact.

Your new responsibilities

• Owner of the yield roadmap: rolling 12 months and be accountable that the FE/BE achieve those yield targets.
• Owner of yield: Continuously report and track yield progress against roadmap with all function.
• Define/drive yield improvements: analyse yield detractors to the root causes, drive improvements with respective process integration and process owners
• Owner of systems and data: Define systems and data required for yield performance, ensure quick identification of issues and root causes, kill ratio analysis and yield improvement methodologies
• Owner of product performance / spec: Safeguard product requirements and performance, technical ownership for testing, probing, AVI, etc., owner of product master data
• Owner of product cost: Owner to define the overall best way to minimize costs due to yield losses across the whole value chain
• BE / BU / Customer interface: First technical contact for BE / Business Unit / Customer related topics
