Overview

Job Title: PROCESS & EQUIPMENT ENGINEER- BACKEND/LABELING ENGINEERING

Responsibilities

• Develop or maintain a plan to meet engineering KPI and high standard of operation.
• Formulate programs to simplify backend processes and automate operations to improve operation/HPU and achieve cost savings.
• Establish labeling processes and tester/equipment capacity/productivity models for integrated automation.
• Maintain label testers and vision inspection machines, including maintenance, software upgrades or development as needed.
• Ensure control, equipment maintenance, setup, safety, PCP are carried out to meet product specifications.
• Lead a group of AE/techs/MS to support projects and daily tasks, and support on-time delivery, reduce scrap and rework.
• Track competencies of subordinates and provide leadership, development, and training as required.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical/Electronics/Mechatronics/Computer Science
• 1 to 3 years\' experience in manufacturing process and ability to manage process enhancements via automation.
• Good computer literacy, data mining and software development with C# and VB.NET knowledge is an advantage.
• Knowledge in motion control, IO control, robotics and machine vision is preferable.
• Strong analytical skills to resolve job-related problems and implement timely corrective actions.
• Originates and develops sound ideas for process and technical improvements.

Job Responsibilities

• Establish, implement and drive actions to improve process yield and maintenance uptime to meet engineering KPI.
• Responsible for backend process, maintenance, debugging, machine troubleshooting and software documentation.
• Conduct gage repeatability & reliability studies, correlation studies and actions to improve capabilities and UPH of automated assembly or inspection equipment.
• Generate reaction plans or pre-emptive solutions for out-of-control situations to ensure operations are not affected.
• Assist manufacturing personnel in operator training, qualification, and improving operator utilization/productivity as well as backend equipment maintenance, spare parts and automation software.
• Perform other duties as directed by supervisor to ensure proper execution.
• Ensure compliance with Safety, ESD, ISO, Cleanroom and housekeeping guidelines.
• Continuous improvement on machine yield, capability, productivity to achieve cost savings.
