Job description

Drive and involve in material cost down projects to achieve operation productivity target.

Job Description

In your new role you will:

  • Responsible to derive operation direct material supplier source strategy / roadmap.
  • Responsible for 2nd source supplier qualification/business continuity to secure material supply.
  • Make recommendation & material selection based on quality, reliability& manufacturability.
  • Drive material cost down and secure material supply through identifying and qualifying alternate material types, supplier/ source or suppliers’ production location.
  • Responsible for technical troubleshooting on material deviations and collaborate with cluster functions to restore supply and prevent line down
  • Responsible for the development and sustenance of technical engineering knowhow of workforce.

Your Profile

You are best equipped for this task if you have:

  • Degree in Material/ Chemical/ Electrical/ Electronic Engineering, Applied Science or any equivalent engineering discipline.
  • 5 years working experiences in semiconductor assembly manufacturing environment, knowledge in polymer science will be advantage in this position.
  • Statistical data analysis, analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Good knowledge in polymer thermoset/thermoplastic.
  • Good knowledge in material science and material characterization.
  • Be personally energetic, dynamic, proactive, committed, positive, enthusiastic and possess the ability to think laterally and act through reasoned decision making.
