About the role

The role involves process development, troubleshooting, yield improvement, and sustaining operations to ensure high-quality wafer thinning and process performance. It includes collaborating with cross-functional teams (R&D, Quality, Maintenance, Production) to support NPI and continuous process improvements. Key responsibilities include performing root cause analysis, implementing corrective actions for yield loss, maintaining process control plans, operating procedures, and equipment specifications. The role also involves conducting process qualifications, capability analysis, SPC monitoring, and driving cost reduction and productivity improvement projects.

What you will do:

  • responsible for process development, troubleshooting, yield improvement, and sustaining operations to ensure high-quality wafer thinning and overall process performance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (R&D, Quality, Maintenance, Production) to support NPI (New Product Introduction) and continuous process improvement initiatives.
  • Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for yield loss
  • Define and maintain process control plans, operating procedures, and equipment specifications.
  • Conduct process qualification, capability analysis, and statistical process control (SPC) monitoring.
  • Drive cost reduction and productivity improvement projects.

What you will need:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Materials Science, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
  • Minimum 7–10 years of experience in semiconductor wafer thinning/back grinding or advanced packaging processes.
  • Hands-on experience with process characterization, SPC, DOE, and FMEA
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
