A leading manufacturer in the lighting industry in Kulim, Kedah, is looking for a skilled professional to maintain and operate electrical systems while ensuring compliance with safety regulations. You will lead the electrical team, manage preventive maintenance, and coordinate with project groups. The ideal candidate should have expertise in electrical systems and strong leadership skills.

• Maintain and operate the 33kV / 11kV / 415V electrical systems.
• Plan and implement preventive maintenance for electrical equipment.
• Lead and manage shift electrical chargemen for task completion.
• Collaborate with the Facilities Project group on upgrades.

Job description

Responsibilities

• To maintain and operate the 33kV / 11kV / 415V electrical systems and equipment to ensure uninterrupted manufacturing activities.


• To plan and implement preventive maintenance for all electrical equipment, including the Diesel Dynamic Uninterrupted Power System (DDUPS) generators.


• To lead, organize, and manage shift electrical chargemen assigned to ensure all routine tasks and work order requests are completed as planned.


• To work closely with the Facilities Project group on infrastructure upgrades or new projects, providing necessary guidance to ensure designs and specifications meet all requirements, statutory regulations, and bylaws.


• To participate actively in resource conservation programs to ensure all activities comply with the department’s KPIs and the company’s policies.
