The impact you’ll make
Plans and implements activities related to the timely, cost-effective procurement, inventory control, planning and quality control of production materials. Develops, implements, and maintains policies, procedures, and material control systems to reduce costs, streamline procedures, and implement solutions. Ensures the availability of materials in the supply chain, as scheduled, and the maintenance of inventory at minimum acceptable levels. Responsible for sourcing and supplying raw materials, utilities and outside services, as well coordinating global procurement efforts. Coordinates with finance/accounting on matters involving inventory carrying costs. Reviews and plans requirements for acceptable inventory. May assist with the establishment and maintenance of the production control system. May work with customers in auditing customer inventory levels and with internal and external vendors to comply with inventory policies. Selects, develops, and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function.
What You’ll Do
- Act as the Single Point of Contact (SPOC) for all supply chain activities related to the setup, launch, and ramp-up of the new factory, coordinating cross-functional teams and external partners to ensure seamless integration.
- Provide strategic oversight and mentorship to junior team members and cross-functional stakeholders, fostering a high-performance and collaborative culture.
- Develop and implement robust risk management frameworks to proactively identify, assess, and mitigate material shortages and supply chain disruptions.
- Partner closely with senior leadership, buyers, commodity managers, and business unit leaders on supply chain readiness to support product ramp and high volume product transition to Asia.
- Champion continuous improvement initiatives leveraging data-driven insights to enhance supply chain processes, reduce lead times, and improve forecast accuracy.
- Oversee and coordinate cross-functional meetings and steering committees to resolve complex supply challenges and accelerate time-to-resolution.
- Lead scenario planning exercises and supplier health assessments to inform contingency plans and strategic sourcing decisions.
- Drive escalation management as the single point of contact for critical supply issues, ensuring timely communication with internal and external stakeholders including executives.
- Collaborate with manufacturing, engineering, logistics, and order fulfillment teams to synchronize supply chain activities with production and delivery schedules.
- Monitor key performance indicators and deliver regular status reports, dashboards, and presentations to inform leadership and guide decision-making.
- Lead root cause analysis and corrective action plans for supply chain issues, ensuring sustainable improvements.
- Manage multiple concurrent supply chain projects with a focus on achieving milestones, managing risks, and delivering value to the business.
- Support talent development through coaching, training, and performance management of supply chain staff.
- Drive adoption of supply chain systems and tools (e.g., SAP) to enhance operational efficiency and data transparency.
Who We’re Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree with at least 10 years of supply chain experience, or a Master’s degree with a minimum of 7 years’ experience.
- Proven experience in leading cross-functional teams and managing direct reports, with a strong track record of developing talent and fostering team performance.
- Demonstrated leadership capabilities in driving strategic initiatives, influencing stakeholders, and navigating complex organizational dynamics.
- Fluent in English and experienced in working with global teams across multiple countries and time zones.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to deliver compelling presentations and facilitate executive-level discussions.
- Strong understanding of factory operations and close collaboration with supply chain, manufacturing, and order fulfillment teams.
- Proficient in data analysis to support decision-making, business objectives, and quality-driven solutions.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience as a Single Point of Contact (SPOC) for managing supply chain activities in high-impact projects such as factory setup, ramp-up, or transformation initiatives.
- Skilled in leading escalation management for critical material shortages across multiple commodities and business units.
- Ability to chair and lead meetings with international stakeholders across all organizational levels, including executives.
- Strong coaching and mentoring skills, with a passion for building high-performing supply chain teams.
- Familiarity with SAP systems and other enterprise resource planning (ERP) tools.
- Experience in change management, continuous improvement, and driving operational excellence in a dynamic environment.
