Job summary

ORYX ADVANCED MATERIALS Sdn Bhd, a leading US-based materials manufacturer, seeks a Sr. Manager/Manager for Front End Production to oversee policy implementation, KPI achievement and continuous process improvements.

You will lead teams, liaise with customers and suppliers, and drive expansion initiatives to improve quality and cost efficiency. The role requires a bachelor’s or master’s degree in manufacturing/Mechanical/Electrical Engineering and at least 10 years’ senior engineering experience

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in manufacturing/Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 10 years’ experience as Staff/Principal or Senior Engineer in manufacturing or related industry.
• Strong leadership, manpower planning, production management and analytical skills.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills.
• Sense of ownership, self-motivated, disciplined and result oriented with initiative and ability to work under minimal supervision.
• Able to work in fast-paced environment and flexible schedule to meet urgent customer needs.
• Strong problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee implementation of policies, procedures and work instructions to improve quality and productivity.
• Monitor activities and take necessary actions to meet operations KPIs and on-time delivery.
• Liaise with customers and suppliers as required.
• Initiate and implement operational expansion and process improvement for quality and cost efficiency.
• Lead, coach and motivate subordinates; maintain high morale and teamwork.
• Review subordinate performance and provide feedback.
• Estimate costs and set work standards during expansion and ongoing operations.
• Identify training needs and develop talent.
• Ensure equipment utilization and yield are optimized.
• Ensure health and safety guidelines are followed by all staff.
• Draft timescales for tasks in expansion and ongoing operations.
• Undertake ad-hoc assignments and special projects.

· Responsible for overseeing implementation of company’s policies, procedures and work instruction for higher quality and productivity.

· Ensure all related activities are monitored and necessary actions are taken to meet operations KPI and on-time delivery.

· Liaise with customer(s) and supplier(s) as and when required.

· Responsible for initiating and implementation of operational expansion and process improvement for quality and cost efficiency improvement.

· Lead, coach and motivate subordinates, ensure high morale and teamwork across the organization.

· Reviewing the performance of subordinates.

· Estimating costs and setting the work standards during the operational expansion and ongoing operations.

· Identifying training needs.

· Responsible for equipment utilization and yield.

· Ensure health and safety guidelines are followed by all operations staffs.

· Drafting a timescale for the job being assigned in the operational expansion and ongoing operations.

· Undertake other special assignments, ad-hoc job / project as and when required.

Requirements

· Candidate must possess at least a bachelor’s degree/ master’s degree in manufacturing/Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or any related field.

· Minimum 10 years' working experience as Staff / Principal or Senior engineer in manufacturing or related industry.
