Job summary

Tap Growth ai is seeking a Senior Database Engineer (GIPS/SBE) to manage enterprise database environments, ensure high availability, and support post-build production operations across multiple platforms. You will own database performance, backups, recovery, and incident responses, partnering with applications and infrastructure teams to deliver reliable data services.

Ideal candidates will have 6-9 years of DBA/engineer experience with Oracle, MySQL, and MariaDB, strong SQL and Unix/Linux

Qualifications

6-9 years of experience in database administration/engineering.
Strong hands-on experience with Oracle, MySQL, and MariaDB.
Strong knowledge of SQL and database performance tuning.
Strong working knowledge of Unix/Linux environments.
Experience with Sybase databases.

Responsibilities

Administer and maintain Oracle, MySQL, and MariaDB database environments.
Perform database installation, configuration, upgrades, patching, and migrations.
Monitor database health, availability, capacity, and performance.
Troubleshoot database issues and perform root-cause analysis.
Develop and optimize SQL queries and database performance.
Manage backup, recovery, and database maintenance activities.
Support high availability, disaster recovery, and database resilience initiatives.
Perform database changes in accordance with change management and operational procedures.
Work with application and infrastructure teams to resolve database-related issues.
Support post-build activities, deployments, and production database operations.
Maintain database documentation, standards, and operational procedures.
Participate in incident, problem, and change management activities.
