Job description

Job Responsibilities:

  1. Drive and evaluate capital and miscellaneous projects through planning, organizing, and coordinating.
  2. Conduct conception, feasibility studies, and prepare project proposals.
  3. Support the Capital Team in developing business cases and justifications for project approval.
  4. Develop User Requirement Specifications (URS), raise Purchase Requisitions (PR), and follow up on equipment delivery.
  5. Coordinate Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT), Site installation, Setup, Site Acceptance Tests (SAT), Punch list, and Handover.
  6. Communicate with internal cross-functional teams and external vendors (US COEs), monitor work progress, and provide project status updates for management prioritization and obstacle resolution.
  7. Review and recommend electrical, control, and instrumentation solution proposals based on discussions with in-house engineers and vendors.
  8. Support Process & Packaging Engineers in developing proposals, including equipment design, electrical schematics, bid specifications, installation, startup, troubleshooting, and training.
  9. Evaluate NPI projects by leading electrical, control, and instrumentation proposal development.
  10. Provide high-level judgments and recommendations based on fundamentals, and conduct trials when necessary.
  11. Develop and revise proposals managing technical, product innovation, and financial expectations.
  12. Support financial evaluation by providing investment estimates and ROI analysis.
  13. Identify opportunities and support projects to achieve CI savings targets.
  14. Follow standard project management processes to ensure project deliverables and physical savings.
  15. Investigate and recommend solutions for production equipment to improve plant performance metrics.
  16. Design and improve processes to increase efficiency and quality.
  17. Develop and maintain Industrial Control Network Architecture and Security measures.
  18. Conduct training programs on workflow processes and skills diversification.

Job Requirements:

  1. Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, or Mechatronics.
  2. At least 5 years of experience leading engineering projects in Process and Packaging Equipment within the Confectionery, Food, Chemical, or Pharmaceutical industries (GMP environment).
  3. Expertise in Rockwell and Siemens PLCs, Motion Control systems, FactoryTalk View, RSView, FactoryTalk Asset Centre, iFix, Wonderware, OPC communication, and HMI/SCADA systems.
  4. Strong knowledge of Industrial Control Network Architecture and Security.
  5. Project management skills from conception to execution.
  6. Familiarity with PFD, P&ID, and technical drawings.
  7. Experience with equipment such as powder-liquid handling systems, mixers, refiners, conches, storage, molding, tempering, and feeding systems.
  8. Knowledge of packaging machinery including flow wrapping, VFFS, die-fold wrappers, conveyor systems, checkweighers, and metal detectors.
