Job summary

Jabil Circuit Sdn Bhd in Batu Kawan, Malaysia, seeks a capable engineer to design automation equipment across mechanical, electronics, electrical, or software domains. Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science/Engineering Technology/Information Technology or equivalent.
• Good knowledge in programming technique and methodology.
• Ability to understand users' problems and efficient in problem solving.
• Functional knowledge of mechanical/electronics/electrical/software application engineering.
• Functional knowledge of EMS industries.
• Functional knowledge of automation equipment assembly and installation.
• Advance PC skills, including training and knowledge of Jabil's software packages.
• Ability to define problems collects data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.
• Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.

Responsibilities

• Designs automation equipment in respective areas of expertise, e.g., Mechanical, Electronics, Electrical, or Software Application
• Works closely with Project Manager/Engineer to meet project timeline and within budget
• Reviews, understands, and interprets requirements/specification accurately for integration into design of equipment
• Acts as liaison with internal and/or external Assemblers/manufacturers of equipment to ensure all parts are manufactured to the design
• Generates design drawings, installation manual, and user manual
• Ensures all engineering times are logged into tracking system correspondent to the projects
• Communicate with team members to clarify design requirements and overcome obstacles in order to meet organizational goals
• Provide input to identify and mitigate technical project risks
• Participate in regular project reviews with the Automation Software Engineer, Project Manager and key project stakeholders
