Job summary

Standard Chartered in Malaysia is seeking a skilled Product Specialist (FX Derivative) to bridge business needs with technical delivery in the Wealth Digital Products domain. The role focuses on FX derivatives platforms, ensuring reliable performance and compliant solutions within a regulated environment.

The ideal candidate brings deep capital markets knowledge, hands-on FX derivatives experience, and strong communication with diverse stakeholders to drive feature delivery and platform

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience, including FX Derivatives in the financial services domain.
  • Hands-on experience in an agile delivery environment, with a solid grasp of scrum methodologies.
  • Knowledge in MarginMan would be an added advantage.

Responsibilities

  • Manage, maintain, and configure FX Derivatives platform to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and implement new features and enhancements for FX Derivatives platform.
  • Ensure platform capabilities align with business requirements and regulatory standards.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to the system in a timely manner.
  • Perform regular system upgrades, patches, and maintenance to ensure security and efficiency.
  • Conduct thorough testing and validation of new features to ensure high-quality deliverables.
  • Ensure compliance with the bank’s cybersecurity, data privacy, regulatory, and legal standards.
  • Collaborate with interfacing systems to ensure seamless integration and data flow.

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Product Specialist (FX Derivative) to join our Wealth Digital Products and Proposition Domain. This critical role involves bridging the gap between business needs and technical solutions to ensure the successful delivery of high-quality, value-driven software. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of capital market / Wealth product knowledge and FX Derivative processes, combined with advanced technical expertise.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage, maintain, and configure FX Derivatives platform to ensure optimal performance and reliability.

Skills And Experience
  • Knowledge of SQL and Excel, PowerPoint, ADO, Confluence.
  • Outstanding problem-solving skills, systematic approach with attention to detail, demonstrating a strong analytical mindset
  • Excellent written and verbal communications with the ability to tailor the message to the intended audience.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, able to engage and influence stakeholders across multiple levels within the organisation
  • Familiarity with RESTful APIs
  • Scrum: Knowledge of the principles, components and features of scrum methodology; ability to apply this methodology to manage software product development processes.
  • Software Change Request Management: Knowledge of, and experience with, managing product change requests from customers, prospective customers, vendors, and internal staff.

Training
