Job summary

Qualifications

• Experience with US GAAP reporting and public company standards (SOX, SEC) is a plus.
• Experience with foreign subsidiaries and currency translation.
• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics AX / D365 and BlackLine is a plus.
• Strong analytical, technical accounting and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Recording and payment of vendor invoices; tracking prepaid activity.
• Recording monthly payroll activity and accruals into the G/L.
• Fixed asset accounting and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Prepare schedules for quarterly and annual filings; coordinate with tax and auditors.
• Collaborate with Accounts Payable, Payroll, Tax and Treasury to meet day-to-day needs.
• Assist with ERP system implementation and process improvements.

The Sr. Accountant will be based in Selangor, Malaysia.**Position Summary**The **Sr. Accountant** will collaborate closely with the parent company in the recording of daily transactions for multiple legal entities. Your deliverable to the finance department will contribute to the timely and efficient monthly close and financial reporting.**Essential Duties and Responsibilities*** Recording/payment of vendor invoicing* Tracking and recording prepaid activity.* Recording monthly payroll activity and accruals into the G/L.* Fixed asset accounting* Balance sheet reconciliations* Compile various reporting schedules for Quarterly/Annual Filings (Foreign subsidiaries)* Work closely with Accounts Payable, Payroll, Tax and Treasury teams to ensure day-to-day operational needs are met, and accounting entries are properly recorded.* Work closely with 3rd party accounting firms for timely filing of Tax, audit, and statutory reporting requirements.* Maintain documentation of internal controls in compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley Act* Identity opportunities to streamline accounting processes to enhance efficiency, reduce error, and minimize processing time.* Participate in the implementation and ongoing enhancements of the company's ERP system.* Perform special projects or ad hoc analyses, as required.**Minimal Qualifications*** Degree in Accounting* 5+ years' experience in accounting or audit firm**Experience*** Experience with US GAAP reporting and public company standards (Sarbanes Oxley, SEC, etc.) a plus* Experience with various local accounting requirements, a plus.* Experience working with Microsoft Dynamics AX / D365 and/or blackline, a plus.* Experience working with foreign subsidiaries and currency translation.**Skills*** Strong analytical, technical accounting and problem-solving skills.* Advanced excel skills.* Must be highly detail oriented and organized, with ability to work independently as well as in a group environment.* Ability to meet strict time sensitive deadlines.* Ability to thrive in a fast-growing environment where change is the norm; strong multi-tasking skills, and flexibility to switch from one project to the next quickly.* Ability to produce complex, detailed accounting reconciliations that is easy to interpret for auditors.* Strong communication and interpersonal skills* Demonstrate understanding of debit and credits and of multi-relational impact of the balance sheet, P&L and cash flow statement and how journal entries affect each statement.**Location**Hybrid - Selangor, Malaysia.We are looking for talented, passionate people to help us build our future atOur work is challenging and meaningful.
