Job summary

Tokyo Electron Limited in Penang seeks a qualified SQA Engineer to oversee safety and quality coordination across engineering projects. The role emphasizes training, risk assessment, incident investigation, and compliance with local regulations in a semiconductor equipment environment.

The candidate will conduct safety trainings, lead root-cause analyses, and prepare management reports while coordinating with client sites and internal teams to uphold high safety standards.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Engineering, Safety/Health or related field.
• Proven experience in safety and quality coordination; semiconductor industry preferred.
• Strong knowledge of semiconductor equipment and risk assessments for repair/ installation/ commissioning.
• Knowledge of Malaysian OSH Act 1994 and DOSH/construction requirements.

Responsibilities

• Ensure all engineering team members are trained and competent before starting work at client sites.
• Participate in Toolbox Talks at active worksites and verify risk assessments (RA/JHA/PTP/SWP).
• Conduct Safety Management by Walking Around to identify hazards and unsafe acts.
• Lead or support incident investigations (5-Why, Ishikawa) and root cause analysis.
• Prepare daily and regular safety reports for management review with trends and actions.
