As a Sports Advisor (Sales), or Sports Advisor as we call it, your role is to ensure all customers leave our stores satisfied. From a friendly and professional welcome to a quick and easy payment process, you are to deliver a 5-star shopping experience. Decathlon invests heavily in teammate development, enabling those who want to build a career within the business to flourish.
Responsibilities
- Welcome customers professionally.
- Ensure customer satisfaction and resolve issues related to returns, complaints, and checkout efficiently.
- Educate customers on omni-channel brand offerings and product features.
- Know the technical features and benefits of Decathlon products to recommend suitable products.
- Develop customer relationships both in-store and online.
- Passionately share sports knowledge and help customers discover new sports.
- Encourage loyalty card subscriptions to enhance customer information.
- Participate in local sports community events.
- Align with Decathlon Malaysia’s goals and promote store innovation.
- Use resources and tools to boost sales.
- Arrange store layout according to guidelines and ensure it is attractive and functional.
- Maintain stock accuracy and availability using the replenishment system.
- Promote awareness of Decathlon Connect among stakeholders.
- Enforce safety and security standards, including fire safety, security procedures, and product safety policies.
- Participate in personal and team development plans and training sessions.
Profile
What We Are Looking For
- Strong communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia (written and spoken); other languages are a plus.
- Minimum qualification: Bachelor's Degree or Diploma.
- Open to fresh graduates and experienced candidates.
- Customer-centric with a strong sense of service.
- Willing to assist others, both teammates and customers.
- Responsible, self-motivated, and adaptable to a fast-paced environment.
- Human-first attitude with excellent communication skills.
- Ability to work as part of a team during busy times (weekends and holidays).
- Digitally savvy.
