The Purchasing Specialist will be responsible for purchase order management, fulfillment, and delivery of raw materials to meet Entegris manufacturing plants' production needs. This role will manage supplier performance, purchase price variance, and raw material availability to meet the dynamic demands of manufacturing sites in Entegris.
What You’ll Do:
- Create and process standard purchase orders (PO), outline agreements in SAP to approved vendors (under Global AVL) to optimize inventory.
- Manage supplier order and delivery confirmations and update order details into SAP promptly.
- Communicate supply gaps to operations following escalation procedures.
- Update schedules and expedite materials to align with the latest production plans.
- Resolve shipment, warehouse, and customs issues with logistics.
- Coordinate with Freight forwarders/Couriers to meet PO delivery ETD/ETA.
- Track supplier performance against committed dates, lead-times, and costs.
- Negotiate with suppliers on tactical issues to improve delivery performance and meet factory demands.
- Establish and maintain effective supplier relationships.
- Manage supplier quality issues, work with QA, MQE, CM for actions like RMA/RTV.
- Handle invoice exceptions (VIM) and resolve related issues with suppliers and finance.
- Maintain Material Master/Purchasing Info Records in SAP to optimize purchasing methods and support NPI.
Enhanced Responsibilities with Digital Enablement Team Skills:
- Set program direction, monitor progress, and enable transformation strategies.
- Identify stakeholders, develop engagement plans, and mitigate risks.
- Drive change management and value realization efforts.
- Collaborate cross-functionally, including with IT/Digital Teams.
Accountability:
- Execute order management activities, including PO holds, releases, expediting, changes, and unviewed issues, including raw material returns.
- Implement MRP with full engagement, systematically working with Sr Purchasing Specialist to optimize raw material positioning and purchase order processes.
- Ensure delivery on open orders, proactively identify risks, prioritize critical orders, and resolve shipment and customs issues.
- Track supplier performance, focusing on timely delivery, and foster proactiveness to improve delivery and reduce lead times.
What We Seek:
- A degree in Business Admin/Management. Certifications like CPIM, CSCP, or C.P.S.M are a plus but not required.
- At least 2 years of direct procurement experience.
- Experience with SAP system.
- Knowledge of purchasing, materials planning, procurement processes, and supply chain functions.
- Detail-oriented with strong follow-up skills.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Effective time management, multitasking ability, and self-motivation.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating initiative and a positive attitude.
