Job summary

Jardine Schindler Group (JSG) invites applications for a Specialist, General Accounting to support month-end close, reporting, and financial integrity across the GL. You will work within a Shared Services environment providing timely analysis and cross-functional collaboration.

The role requires a degree in accounting or finance, 3+ years of SSC experience, and knowledge of taxation and company secretarial duties. Lift industry experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance, or professional qualification.
• Full set of accounts knowledge is preferable.
• Good knowledge in Accounting, Project Costing, Taxation and Company Secretarial work.
• 3+ years of experience in accounting/Finance in a Shared Services Organization.
• Experience in lift industry is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Close month-end, quarter-end and year-end GL close per SOPs.
• Provide support and guidance to analysts in daily tasks and reporting.
• Meet the SLA KPI set in Enterprise Service Management (ESM).
• Prepare reporting and analytical reviews of financial statements.
• Collaborate with Supply Chain, AP, AR, TR and other stakeholders for month-end close.
• Process journals with timely information.
• Maintain general ledger data integrity through reconciliations.
• Record fixed asset acquisitions/dispositions in the accounting system.
• Prepare SST/GST/VAT/WHT reports and ensure timely submission/payments.
• Reconcile intercompany accounts and assist auditors.
• Participate in ad hoc projects and process improvements.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for month-end/ quarter end/ year end GL close activities and other relevant tasks of entity’s result by adhering to BSC SOPs
• Provide support and guidance to analyst in daily task, month end close activities and reporting etc (if required)
• Meet the SLA KPI set in Enterprise Service Management (ESM)
• Prepare reporting, analytical review of financial reports
• Collaborate with other functions (Supply Chain, AP, AR, TR) and stakeholders to ensure smooth month-end close.
• Process journals by getting relevant information on timely basis
• Ensure company policies and working instruction compliance
• Provide support and service requests from Operating Companies such as generating reports in a timely manner
• Maintain general ledger data integrity via balance sheet reconciliation, identify issue, unreconciled and aged items
• Record fixed asset acquisitions, dispositions in accounting system
• Prepare SST/GST/VAT/WHT report and ensure timely submission/payment to local authority.
• Reconcile and analyse intercompany accounts
• Assist with requests by internal and/or external auditors
• Involve in ad hoc projects and migration
• Identify and implement process improvements for efficiency and accuracy
• Comply with all applicable safety rules and work instructions
• Promptly report all accidents, safety incidents and unsafe conditions at work to supervisor and watch out for other colleagues
• Attend safety and health training
• Participate in promotion of safety culture in the organisation

Qualifications

• Detail Oriented person with good analytic skills.
• Must possess at least Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance/ Professional Qualification (ACCA, CPA, CIMA).
• Full set account knowledge is preferable.
• Good knowledge in Accounting, Project Costing, Taxation and Company Secretarial work.
• 3 years and above working experience in accounting/ Finance environment within a Shared Services Organization.
• Experience in lift industry is an advantage but not necessary
