About the opportunity

We are looking for a Field Sales Specialist based in Kuching, Sarawak who can persuade the best restaurants in Malaysia to join foodpanda. This role reports to the Lead, Field Sales in the Commercial department.

Responsibilities

  • Drive B2B sales and secure new vendor partnerships.
  • Have a passion and keen interest in the food and beverage industry, aiming to sign up top local and international vendors.
  • Be a local market expert: know the best restaurants and shops in Malaysia and be able to recommend them.
  • Gather feedback from restaurants and shops, monitor competitor activity, and suggest improvements to management.
  • Act as a brand ambassador: conduct cold calls, walk-ins, schedule in-person meetings, and sell foodpanda services to potential vendors, including top shops and restaurants.
  • Exceed sales targets and performance goals independently.
  • Become part of our international network and skilled team.
  • Gain insight into our fast-growing business by taking responsibility from day one.
  • Manage a portfolio of restaurant and shop vendors, exceeding goals for retention, development, and maintenance.

What you need to be successful

  • Diploma or Bachelor’s degree completed.
  • At least 2 years of experience in consulting, e-commerce, or startups; fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
  • Strong management skills: ability to manage and motivate your team in the field.
  • Flexibility to accommodate non-traditional operating hours of restaurants.
  • Outgoing, confident, and presentable.
  • Self-motivated, able to work remotely and under pressure.
  • Proactive, capable of leading independent projects.
  • Innovative thinker, eager to challenge the status quo.
  • Experience in fast-paced, entrepreneurial, startup/tech environments is preferred.
  • Fluent in English with excellent communication skills.
