About The Opportunity

We are looking for a Field Sales Specialist based in Seremban, Malaysia to persuade top restaurants in Malaysia to join foodpanda. This role reports to the Lead, Field Sales in the Commercial department.

Responsibilities
  1. Drive B2B sales by seeking and securing new vendor partnerships.
  2. Have a passion for the food and beverage industry and a desire to onboard top local and international vendors.
  3. Be a local market expert: know the best restaurants and shops in Malaysia and provide recommendations.
  4. Gather feedback from restaurants and shops, monitor competitors, and suggest improvements to management.
  5. Act as a brand ambassador: conduct cold calls, walk-ins, schedule in-person meetings, and sell foodpanda services to potential vendors, including tiptop shops and restaurants.
  6. Exceed sales targets and performance goals independently.
  7. Be part of our international network and skilled team, gaining inside perspective of our fast-growing business.
  8. Manage a portfolio of restaurant and shop vendors, aiming for retention, development, and maintenance.
What You Need To Be Successful
  1. Diploma or Bachelor’s degree completed.
  2. At least 2 years of experience in consulting, e-commerce, or start-up environments; fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
  3. Strong management skills to motivate and manage field teams.
  4. Flexibility to work around restaurant operating hours.
  5. Outgoing, confident, and well-presented.
  6. Self-motivated, able to work remotely and under pressure.
  7. Proactive with the ability to lead independent projects.
  8. Innovative thinker willing to challenge the status quo.
  9. Experience in fast-paced, entrepreneurial, startup/tech environments preferred.
  10. Fluent in English with excellent communication skills.
