Job description

SOTC Play & Development Sdn. Bhd. (Playvelope) is a dynamic special needs intervention and educational centre committed to empowering children with diverse developmental needs through personalized, evidence-based approaches. We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Special Education Teacher to join our multidisciplinary team in delivering early intervention and individualized learning support.

Vacancies Available at the Following Locations:

Responsibilities:

  1. Plan and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) tailored to each student’s developmental and learning goals.
  2. Deliver one-on-one and small group teaching sessions for students with autism, ADHD, developmental delays, and other learning differences.
  3. Use play-based and multi-sensory teaching strategies to enhance engagement and learning outcomes.
  4. Track and assess students’ progress, adapting teaching plans as needed.
  5. Collaborate closely with therapists (OT, ST, Clinical Psychologist) and caregivers to ensure a consistent support system.
  6. Foster a safe, inclusive, and structured learning environment.
  7. Maintain accurate student records, progress reports, and IEP documentation.
  8. Support life skills, behavior management, and social-emotional development.

Requirements / Qualifications:

  1. Education: Diploma / Degree in Special Education, Early Childhood Education, Psychology, or related field.
  2. Experience: Preferably 1–3 years of experience teaching children with special needs. Fresh graduates with passion and training in special education are encouraged to apply.
  3. Strong knowledge of child development and special education strategies.
  4. Compassionate, patient, and able to engage with children across a range of abilities.
  5. Strong communication and teamwork skills.
