Who You Are:
SPC Manager
Position Summary:
We are seeking for a highly-qualified Manager to take responsibility on the company SPC Quality Program to drive continuous improvement, enhancing product quality, and reducing variability through data analysis and cross-functional collaboration. You need to have a good problem solving skills, strong communication skills, good in analytical and methodical skillsets, ability to pay attention details, a good team player and leadership. In this role, you are required to liaise with other departments to suggest ways of improving arising issues. You will need to work with product development to setup SPC for NPI as well as operation team, engineering and other departments.
What You Will Do:
· Develop, implement and maintain the SPC systems to monitor manufacturing processes and ensure consistent product quality
· Analyze production data to identify trends, variations, and potential quality issues before they become problems.
· Lead and drive the process team in identifying the process assignable signal and come out with solution using quality tools – PDCA, statistical analysis skill, etc.
· Call weekly SPC meeting to review plant-wide SPC health indicators.
· Work with product development team to setup SPC controls during NPI stage.
· Work on continuous improvement projects to enhance the SPC program & culture among the engineering and production community.
· Provide SPC training and coaching to the engineering community.
· Work with IT and automation teams to integrate SPC tools into manufacturing execution systems (MES).
· Develop dashboards and reports to track key process metrics and present findings to management
· Ensure compliance with internal standards and regulatory requirements (e.g., ISO, Six Sigma, IATF 16949).
· Lead or participate in quality improvement initiatives and lean manufacturing projects.
What You Will Bring (REQUIRED Qualifications):
· Statistical Analysis: Strong knowledge of statistical methods, such as regression analysis, hypothesis testing, design of experiments, and time-series analysis.
· SPC Tools: Familiarity with control charts (e.g., X-bar, R, P-charts), process capability analysis (Cp, Cpk), and Pareto analysis.
· Software: Proficiency in statistical software tools such as Minitab, JMP, Excel (advanced), or similar SPC-specific software.
· Data Collection and Sampling: Knowledge of how to design sampling plans, measure variability, and collect data accurately.
· Knowledge in quality system (ISO/IATF 16949), MSA, SPC.
· Ability to conduct SPC trainings
Field of Study
· Engineering or Applied Science related fields
Years of Experience (Minimum)
· 7-9 years
Preferred Qualifications:
· Knowledge of automotive quality standards such as APQP, Control Plan, FMEA and PPAP.
