A leading technology company in Kuala Lumpur is seeking a dedicated individual to support spare parts operations. The role focuses on inventory management, tracking WIP, and coordinating returns. The ideal candidate has basic Excel skills and prior experience in logistics. Proficiency in Chinese is a plus, and attention to detail is essential to ensure efficient supply chain operations.
Job Purpose:This position supports the spare parts operation in Malaysia, focusing on tracking WIP (Work InProgress) inventory, managing buffer stock allocation to service centers, and coordinating good partreturns. It ensures timely supply and accurate data to maintain an efficient spare parts supply chain.
Key Responsibilities:
1.WIP ManagementTrack WIP inventory at service centers and warehouses.Monitor abnormal or delayed work orders and assist in exception analysis.
2.Buffer Stock Calculation & Network Downstream DistributionCalculate buffer stock needs for each service center based on demand, usage, and WIP.Assist in planning and executing buffer stock distribution strategies to improve availability.
3.Good Part Return CoordinationSupport the issuance and follow-up of return plans for good parts from service centers.Organize and maintain return data and schedules.
4.Data Reporting & AnalysisAssist in preparing weekly reports related to buffer stock and Work Order Intake (WOI).Provide inventory and WIP-related data insights for decision-making support.
5.System & Inventory SupportAssist in maintaining basic information such as material master data, system entries, and transferrecords.Support the team during high-load or exception scenarios involving inventory movement.
Qualifications & Requirements:
1. Basic Excel skills (e.g., VLOOKUP, Pivot Table).
2. Prior experience in logistics or inventory operations is preferred.
3. Detail-oriented, data-sensitive, and proactive in learning and collaboration.
4. Proficiency in Chinese is an advantage.
