As an integral part of the team support plant operations with all purchasing functions ensuring continuous supply of material and supplies while minimizing inventory carrying costs. Support corporate initiatives by maintaining and monitoring a comprehensive set of reports for supplier performance management, contract administration, spend reporting, and other data reporting.

Job Responsibilities:

A Sourcing Specialist is responsible for identifying, evaluating, and negotiating with suppliers to procure goods and services that meet the company’s quality and cost requirements. This role involves managing supplier relationships, ensuring timely delivery, and continuously seeking cost-saving opportunities.


  • Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers.
  • Evaluate suppliers based on quality, cost, reliability, and delivery capabilities.
  • Negotiate terms, prices, and contracts with suppliers.
  • Ensure all agreements comply with company policies and legal requirements.
  • Maintain strong relationships with key suppliers.
  • Address any issues or disputes that arise with suppliers.
  • Work closely with departments like procurement, production, and logistics.
  • Understand and anticipate the needs of different departments.
  • Analyze costs and implement strategies to reduce expenses.
  • Find alternative suppliers to improve cost efficiency.
  • Handle the entire purchase order process, from issuing orders to tracking deliveries.
  • Ensure accurate documentation and filing of purchase orders.
  • Track and evaluate supplier performance using metrics like on-time delivery and product quality.
  • Provide feedback to suppliers and make decisions about future partnerships.
  • Keep up with market trends, new products, and technologies.
  • Use market insights to improve sourcing strategies.


Job Qualifications:


  • Bachelor’s Degree in business related area or equivalent required.
  • Minimum 2-5 years of experience in procurement, supply chain management, or a related field in the specific industry (e.g., manufacturing, retail, technology)
  • Experience in pulling data and report creation in an ERP computer system preferred.
  • Familiarity with procurement software and tools.
  • Proficient in MS Office: Word and PowerPoint required. Advanced excel skills required.
  • Proven strong communication and data analysis skills required.
  • Strong negotiation skills to secure favorable terms and prices.
  • Ability to resolve issues and disputes with suppliers effectively.
  • Keen eye for detail to ensure accuracy in contracts and purchase orders
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
