This is the broad job description of the job profile. Definitive job description should be reviewed and discussed between you and your manager. Adhere to OCBC Group Procurement Policy, Standards and Procedures, for governance and controls. Demonstrate thought leadership, drive sourcing project and negotiation to deliver cost savings and other benefits to Group. Manage and execute activities relating to the sourcing of products and services for Malaysia or Group.
This includes conducting of Request for Proposal (RFP), Request for Quotation (RFQ), evaluation and selection of vendors, price negotiations, contract reviews, in collaboration with internal users and legal and or risk department. Identify internal and external risk factors that could affect the long-term viability and sustainability of a vendor. Review contract terms and work with Legal for execution. Create rapport and maintain good relationships with internal stakeholders & external vendors. Challenge status quo, initiate and drive process improvement to deliver operational efficiency. Conduct root cause analysis on problem statement. Conduct due diligent check on vendor e.g. Anti-Bribery assessment. Collaborate with internal stakeholders and vendors in driving ESG initiatives.
High personal integrity. Degree holder in Business or any related degree. Experience in strategic sourcing. Fluent in English & Mandarin. Positive attitude, self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision as well as the occasional long hours. Strong written communication skills, including the ability to facilitate meetings and effectively lead discussions. Team player, able to communicate effectively and good interpersonal skills. Able to work under stress to meet deadlines and good in time management.
