Job summary

TE Connectivity is seeking a Strategic Sourcing Analyst in Penang to manage all indirect procurement activities. You will source goods and services across categories, collaborate with global and local teams, lead savings projects, and support supplier relationships to drive sustainable improvements aligned to regional needs.

The role requires strong analytical and project management skills, experience in manufacturing, and fluent English.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5–7 years of experience in indirect procurement in a manufacturing setting.
• Experience in at least 2 commodities including MRO, Facility, Automation Line, HR services.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute procurement strategies to meet production and project requirements.
• Analyze and provide feedback to appropriate departments on part status/requirements for fulfilling customer demand.
• Manage delivery of critical component parts and product delivery with suppliers and contract manufacturers to meet customer requirements.
• Escalation of any issues to relevant sourcing analyst.
• Monitor & reporting KPI targets with actions– delivery on time, confirmation of purchase orders.
• Invoice processing, resolving blocked invoices & amendments of purchase orders.

Job Overview

The Strategic Sourcing Analyst will be responsible for all indirect procurement activities. You will source goods and services within assigned indirect categories, collaborate with global category and country procurement organizations, lead savings projects, manage supplier relationships and support supply base rationalization activities, create synergies and drive sustainable compliance improvements that are aligned with local and regional needs. Supports the development and execution of commodity strategy for the procurement team and drives the leading indicators like savings pipeline.

Job Requirements
